Recently, the headquarters of the Jiashao Bridge announced that the Jiashao Sea-crossing Bridge and the north-south wiring project have passed the acceptance test and will be officially put into operation at 0:00 on July 19, 2013. After the opening of the Jiashao Bridge, it will connect the highways of the Jiajiasu Expressway, the Shanghai-Hangzhou Expressway, the Hangpu Expressway, the Hangyong Expressway, the Shangsan Expressway, and the Shaozhu Expressway. The construction of the Jiasha Cross-Sea Bridge took off at the end of 2008, with a total investment of approximately RMB 13.9 billion. Upon completion, the drive from Zhuji, Shaoxing, Zhejiang to Shanghai will be reduced by nearly half.
