According to the “2010 Global Commercial Vehicle Industry Outlook Report” issued by Arrow, the global business consulting company, the global commercial vehicle production in 2009 decreased by 29%, while the Chinese commercial vehicle market increased by more than 22%. At present, China has occupied 49% of the world's total commercial vehicle production. Even if calculated by output value, China’s commercial vehicle market share has reached 25% to 30%.

In the first half of this year, the growth rate of commercial vehicles in China further climbed to 76%, and it is expected to return to the prosperity level in 2008 within two to three years. Recently, Jianghuai Automobile [11.480.17%] reached a joint venture agreement with Navistar, Caterpillar to reach a joint venture agreement of 4.8 billion, which will jointly produce medium-duty trucks and advanced diesel engines. At this point, the major domestic commercial vehicle manufacturers have completed the strategic layout of joint multinational giants competing for the international market.
