LG Chemical shuts down BTX device replacement catalyst
It is reported that Korean aromatics manufacturer LG Chemical Company will restart the benzene, toluene and mixed xylene (BTX) production facilities on June 27, after the device had undergone a week-long catalyst replacement work stoppage. This BTX unit in Yeosu was shut down on June 19 for catalyst replacement. The unit produces 220,000 tons of benzene, 100,000 tons of toluene and 55,000 tons of xylene per year.
