According to the latest data released by the General Administration of Customs of China, China imported 267,645 tons of natural rubber in July 2015, a significant increase of 73% from the previous month and an increase of 70% over the same period of last year. From January to July, imports were 1,396,256 tons, down 11.5% year-on-year; July imports of synthetic rubber were 152,691 tons, down 11.5% from the previous month and up 27% year-on-year. Imports from January to July were 965,502 tons, up 10% year-on-year. China's imports of natural and synthetic rubber (including latex) in July 2015 amounted to 420,000 tons, an increase of 27% from 330,000 tons in June. According to the statistics, the total rubber imports in the first half of 2015 totaled 1.94 million tons, a decrease of 10.8% year-on-year. However, the import volume of rubber so far in early 2015 was 2.36 million tons, a decrease of 3.7% year-on-year.
